NEW ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, starting 2011, Jouni Rissanen
(born 1984) began his singing career in the Cantores Minores Boys Choir in Helsinki. He has also played drums, guitar and piano. His studies in the Sibelius Academy began in 2003, and he is currently finishing his master’s degree in Music. He has worked as a vice director with several choirs and has taught guitar and band lessons in music schools. He continues to sing with the Helsinki Chamber Choir and the Sibelius Academy Vocal Group. In 2011 he will take over as artistic director of the Pirkanpojat Boys Choir.
